The international group is a core part of PUSH Sverige, or PUSH Sweden. PUSH Sweden is an accredited observer organisation in UN climate negotiations. The international group travels to these meetings and reports on the negotations, attempting to make the meetings more accessible to young people. We have several international climate networks that we meet with and cooperate with, including CAN (Climate Action Network) and YOUNGO (official children and youth constituency of the UNFCCC). For reports on the latest climate negotiations, check are social media pages @pushsverige and our blog pushtocop.org.
In addition, there are also possibilities to work with other parts of international climate policy and opinion-making, including on an EU-level.
Non-swedish speakers are welcome in all parts of PUSH, especially in the international group where meetings are already conducted in english.
We have taken part in COP meetings under UNFCCC since 2015 (at COP21), and we also attend the spring preparatory meetings (SB meetings).
Feel free to contact us to get involved, we are also available to conduct lectures and otherwise inform people about the negotations. We are also open for collaborations with other UN observer organisations.
The group is currently managed by our international coordinator, Sara Ölander.
